Reading has defined my life, among many other moments. I can read anywhere, anytime, for any reason. Books in all shapes, forms, and topics enthrall me.
Throughout my professional career, colleagues have teased me about the voracious amount of reading I do and talk about. My current leadership team hilariously banned me from buying them more books. My love of reading was a compelling reason for starting this blog…if I write about what I read, perhaps it will inspire fellow educators with knowledge or resources that impact students.
I often get asked how I decide what to read. Social media is a tremendous resource for me. Scrolling through feeds, I often get inspired by a quote shared and search out the source. But without question, Kristen Norris (@ksnorris) gave me the best advice for choosing a book. In one of our many conversations, she shared:
